The Apple iPhone SE, a part of the 9th generation of iPhones alongside the iPhone 6S, was introduced by Apple Inc. on March 21, 2016, and hit the market on March 31, 2016. Designed as a compact yet powerful option, it earned the title of "the most powerful 4-inch phone ever" by Apple.

Resembling the iPhone 5S in design with matte-chamfered edges and an inset stainless-steel Apple logo, the iPhone SE featured an A9 chip, a 12-megapixel rear camera, and Apple Pay support.
