How to Ship Sold Devices to techfare

Shipping Guidelines

  1. Send Items Promptly: We require that you send us the sold item within two business days. Prompt shipping ensures a smooth transaction for both you and the buyer.
  2. Use Provided Shipping Label: Simply print the shipping label that we send to you and affix it securely to the package. This label contains all the necessary information for proper delivery.
  3. Clean and Reset: Before shipping, make sure to clean your device thoroughly and perform a factory reset to remove all personal data. This ensures the buyer receives a device in excellent condition with no personal information left behind.

    For iPhones:

    • Disable iCloud and Find My iPhone: Go to Settings → [Your Name] → iCloud → Find My [Device]. Turn off both iCloud and Find My iPhone.
    • Erase All Content and Settings: Go to Settings → General → Reset → Erase All Content and Settings. This will wipe your iPhone clean.

    For Android:

    • Delete Google Account: Go to Settings → Accounts → Google. Remove your Google account from the device.
    • Factory Reset: Go to Settings → System → Reset → Factory data reset. This will reset your Android device to its factory settings.
  4. Package Your Device Securely: Proper packaging is crucial to ensure your device arrives in excellent condition. Here's how to package it:
    • Wrap your device in a layer of bubble wrap to provide cushioning and protection against impacts.
    • Place the wrapped device in a sturdy cardboard box that is appropriately sized to prevent movement during transit.
    • Add additional padding, such as foam or packing peanuts, to fill any empty spaces in the box and keep the device snug in place.
    • Seal the box securely with packing tape to prevent it from opening during transit.
  5. Additional Packaging Instructions:
    • Back up your data: Don’t risk losing photos, videos, passwords, contacts, or other important info when you ship your cell phone. Back all your data up to the cloud or use an external hard drive or computer.
    • Do NOT send us a box with HAZMAT stickers on it: This is illegal! If using a box with these stickers or labels, you MUST remove them before sending.
    • Do NOT send us a box with any personal items from the shipping box: Personal items are not part of the transaction and should not be included.
    • Properly tape and secure the shipping box using the H-method: Seal the package across the side flaps and the seams on the top and bottom of the shipping box using the 6-strip, H-method, with strong packing tape. Do NOT use masking tape, cellophane tape, duct tape, string, or paper over-wrap to secure the package.

    Lithium-ion Battery Caution: If your device contains a lithium-ion battery, please ensure that it is properly secured and protected to prevent damage during transit. Lithium-ion batteries should be handled with care and should not be exposed to extreme temperatures or punctured.

  7. Include Accessories: If you're selling accessories like chargers, cables, or cases along with your device, pack them securely with the device to provide a complete package for the buyer.
  8. Labeling: Clearly label the package with necessary information, including the recipient's name, address, and contact details. Also, indicate that the package contains electronic devices.
  9. Documentation: To ensure your confidence in our platform, you'll receive essential documents when selling your devices. This includes a trackable UPS shipping label and an order confirmation email, providing you with a clear record of your transaction. Keep copies of all shipping documents, receipts, and tracking numbers for reference. This documentation can be useful in case of any shipping issues.
