    The PlayStation Classic, released in December 2018 to mark the 24th anniversary of the original PlayStation, is a dedicated gaming console created by Sony Interactive Entertainment. This console allows players to relive the nostalgia of 1994 by emulating games from the original PlayStation.

    While it drew comparisons to Nintendo's NES and Super NES Classic Edition mini consoles, it faced criticism for its limited game selection, use of the original PlayStation controller, inclusion of PAL versions for some games, and a relatively high price point.
